back to reality

I'm back from Hurricane Festival.
OMG!! I can't exactly explain how I feel?!
I'm happy, totally stoked, nervertheless sad and tired at the same time.
If I'm thinking of the last few days, my heart is pounding like mad, I'm getting rosy cheeks and begin to smile automatically. So many lovely memories captured in my heart <3 I would NEVER EVER FORGET in my life!

Unfortunately this year my boyfriend had to work at that time :(
A great pity, but no reason to stay home for me. So I went to the festival with a good friend of us.

Not every festival visitor is enjoyable, helpful and caring, but it is always a pleasure to build a camp with a group of few people who are.
We are a group of 6-8 persons. We got to know each other since 3 festival years now.
It's like a small family <3 I appreciate it A LOT!

We arrived with our small caravan on thursday, built up a cozy camp with the others, had a few barbacues during these days, drank A LOT and saw many great bands...and continued partying at the camp in the evenings...till tuesday. ;) we had 3 full days of sun and only 1 rainy day - in other words: WE HAD A LOT OF FUN!

The greatest acts this year were "The Cure", New Order", "The Mumford & Sons", "Blink-182" and "Die Antwoord" - THEY TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND!!!
I bawled along to the songs, danced, jumped, watched it still standing and only dreaming away with tears in my eyes. All emotions combined.
I cried tears of joy a few times, true story. haha

Also great were "The Shins", "The Kooks", "Justice Live", "Bat for Lashes", "The XX", "Band of Skulls", "Katzenjammer", "Kalkbrenner" und "Die Ärzte".
Sadly "KAKKMADDAFAKKA" had technical problems so we left the concert :(

Besides Roger Waters "The Wall" (live), the "New Order" concert was one of the greatest experiences in my life!
I was completely flashed, relegated to the '80s and danced like there's no tomorrow.
The sound and the light show were awesome and the band in a great mood (after a few technical problems).
TO MY GREAT JOY they also played the songs of their previous band called "Joy Division" (after the death of Ian Curtis (lead singer and lyricist of the post-punk band "Joy Division"), the remaining members continued as "New Order").

I'm also A GREAT FAN of "Joy Division", so i was so happy I could cry :´-)
This is one for the books!!!

Sorry for the crappy pictures and videos. I only took an old compact cam with me, besides I was too "busy" to take pictures all the time. I will always remember it anyway ;)

finally we arrived after a few hours of traffic jam
